Key Features

  • A modular concrete & guardrail employed to separate lanes of traffic. It is specially designed to prevent heavy vehicles specifically to cross the opposite lane. The barrier system is designed to redirect the crash by bringing the car momentum and absorb the impact by sliding the vehicle alongside the barrier and preventing the rollover.
  • The New Jersey Barrier are widely installed because of their maintenance-free characteristics, low cost and also high safety performance. New Technology Barrier System is very effective in avoiding vehicle crossover at accident-prone areas with high traffic volumes and speed. M.S New Technology Barrier System also designed with Test Level 4 – 5 (TL4-5) classified as Rigid Barrier System
  • With all the advantages, the rigidness in absorbing the vehicle impact also resulted in serious injuries to the road users, especially to the small and light vehicles. The two opening channel with 200 mm width per unit allow discharging water run-off from the road surface, thus it will prevent any blockage or water ponding
  • As an alternative to reduce and overcome the risk, M.S New Technology Barrier System is created by attaching the wire rope/ guard cable system to the concrete/ guardrail barrier. The system was designed by having a combination of a rigid and flexible barrier system in one structure.
  • The M.S New Technology Barrier System consists of the Concrete New Jersey Barrier (NJB) with three (3) or four (4) tensioned galvanized steel wire rope/guard cable 17mm diameter with a minimum breaking load of 18 tones and hold by the ‘post’ with U-bolt lock at every 2.4m interval subject to the road alignment and the level of safety required
  • The position of the cable range up to 150mm from the concrete edge is designed to allow room for deflection during the collision impact. The crashed impact will be initially absorbed by the tensioned wire rope/guard cable before hitting the barrier and it will reduce the severity of the risk to the road user and the vehicles and also eliminating the vehicle to roll over
